Toubkal Adventurer Trek
One of the most beautiful mountains of the High Atlas Mountains chain, which passes in the countries of the Maghreb, as Mount Toubkal or Mount Toubkal is the highest mountain peak in the Atlas Mountains chain, which has a height of 4165 meters and is 60 km south of Marrakesh.

Two days of walking with crampons and ice axe for security in winter (October to May).The path has been designed for passionate hikers, because the ascent is not technical, but involves easy jamming and snow trails. All the views from the top are beautiful, through the mountains of Marrakech to the north, and the beginning of the Sahara desert to the south. All around are the indented tops of the High Atlas extending as far as you can see in all directions.

The High Atlas Mountains near Marrakesh provide some of the most beautiful trekking in the world. This beautiful six-day trek in the High Atlas Mountains will take you through a variety of scenery. From the lush valleys of sterile rock, this trek promises to delight every round. The route takes us through colorful Berber villages, over panoramic mountain passes, and slowly ascending to our highest point of 4,167m at the top of Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest mountain.
The trek will be supported by your Berber crew; mountain guide, cooker, muleteers, and mules make the trip a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Mount Toubkal Adventurer 6 Days

​Discover traditional Berber villages and see Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Visit the waterfalls of Imlil. Have lunch in an authentic Berber village in the heart of Toukal and see how the Berbers live.

Itinerary Day per Day:

Day 1: Marrakech – Imi-Oughlad – Imsker – Gliz.
Pick up from Marrakech and drive Km 54 to Imi- Oughlad meet our team Carriers, cook, after loading the mules, towards the valley Imenane continuing to rise slowly over Tizi n Lbour and down into to Imeskar village for Lunch. After lunch we then carry on across the small valley in the shadow of several huge walnut trees, an easy climb without technical difficulties into the village of Tinghar then we continue to climb towards the village of Tidili night at the small village of Gliz . 5-6hours.

Day 2 : Gliz – Oukaimeden – Tizi n Addi – Tachdirt.
A short climb to cross Tizi-n-Oukaimden by a forest of juniper, a magnificent view over the valley Ousrtek and distant peaks of mass Toubkal then bypass the mountain of Okaimden 3700m. Lunch shortly after the station Ski, the highest in North Africa. And by the pass of Tizi n Eddi join the beautiful Valley High Atlas Tachddirt splendid view of the mountains and the valley an easy descent down to our village at night lodging Tachdirth :Duration: 6 hours.

Day 3: Tachdirt – Ikkis – Tizi n’Aguersiwal – Aguersiwal – Matat.
After breakfast, we set off down the Assif Imnane valley, passing through several Berber hamlets and then up to the Tizi n’Ageursiwal (2000m). once through the pass, we shall now go down more winding mule tracks leading to the village of Aguerswad (lunch spot ) set off up the valley of Matat, and allow another hour to get up the valley to Matat. 5 hours walking.

Day 4 : Matat – Tizi Oudite – Azib n Tamsoult
From Matat you will set off for a 6 hours trek out of the Matat Valley and into the Azzadene Valley. Along the way you will pass Tizi Oudite at 2,250m, the Ait Aissa Village, Tizi oussm Village and into Azib n’Tansoult . Overnight in the Azib n Tamsoult mountain refuge at 2300m.

Day 5 : Azib n Tamsoult – Tizi Agelzim – Toubkal Refuge.
Today involves a fairly stiff climb through Ighouliden waterfalls out of the Azzadene Valley to the Toubkal Refuge over the Aguelzim Mountain pass at 3,560m. Lunch will be taken with spectacular views over the Atlas Mountain Range. Overnight in the Toubkal Refuge (Niltner Hut) where you’ll likely be sharing a bunk room with other trekkers tackling Toubkal early the next morning- 6hours.

Day 6 : Toubkal refuge – Toubkal Summit – Imlil – Marrakech.
Up early for the climb up Toubkal (4,167m) from where, clouds allowing, you’ll have wonderful views over the Atlas Range and the Sahara Desert then a long way back down past the refuge and the well-worn path back to Imlil. This is a fairly long day with 8-9 hours of trekking, involving 900m up then almost 2,500m back down to Imlil! You will normally be dropped off at around 5.00 pm in Marrakech – 9hours.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Portage: For walkers a small backpack for the day’s belongings. Mules are available for carrying luggage.
  • Supervision: By a Multilanguages speaking Moroccan mountain guide assisted by a cook and muleteers.
  • Accommodation: Riad Atlas Imlil, Bivouac in a 2-person tent with mattresses, lodgings during the hike, or at the mountain hut in the winters.
  • Meals: typical Moroccan dishes (tagine, couscous, …). Fresh products and complementary preserves, meat bought in the mountains. Picnic or salads at noon, hot and cooked meal in the evening.
  • Climate: dry and hot in spring, cold at night in winter. Thunderstorm possible
  • Supervision: Berber guide speaking French and English, cook, mule drivers.

List of equipment to bring back: The weight of your luggage must be limited and contain all of your belongings. A flexible travel bag with side openings or a rucksack without frame, do not bring back rigid bags and suitcases.
